Using Verdly
Understanding your dashboard
A tour of the Verdly dashboard — your net worth, trend chart, allocation, headline stats, milestones and observations — and what each figure means.
Last updated
Your dashboard is the at-a-glance view of where you are today and how you got here. It fills out as you record snapshots; until your first entry it simply invites you to record one.
Net worth at a glance
The top of the dashboard shows your current Net Worth with its change since the previous period. Alongside it, Gross Worth (your assets) and Total Debt each show their own change — and a fall in debt counts as a positive move.
Net worth trend
The Net Worth Trend chart plots your net worth over time. Hover over any period to see its figure, view the category breakdown behind each point, and see your milestones marked along the way.
Allocation
Asset Allocation and Debt Allocation break your latest snapshot down by category — each shown as a share of your gross worth or total debt — so you can see where your money sits and where your debt is concentrated.
Key stats
A row of headline numbers puts your progress in context:
- CAGR — your smoothed annual growth rate.
- Growth streak — consecutive periods your net worth has risen.
- Average monthly gain — your mean change per month.
- Real return — your growth after UK inflation, so you can see whether you’re beating or trailing it.
- FIRE income — roughly what your net worth could provide each year using the 4% rule.
- Debt to gross — your debt as a share of gross worth, compared with a year ago.
Milestones, notes and observations
- Milestones shows your targets and how close you are — see setting and tracking milestones.
- Notes gathers the notes attached to your snapshots.
- Observations surfaces automated, plain-language flags, such as debt growing faster than your assets.
