Managing your account

Update your profile and financial details, tune your display preferences, and delete your data or account when you need to.

Everything about your account lives under Settings in the Verdly app. This guide covers your profile, your display preferences, and the options for removing your data or closing your account.

Your profile

Open Settings → Profile. The form is split into three groups:

  • Personal — first and last name, date of birth, retirement age, and country.
  • Financial — your monthly take-home (net) pay, your emergency fund target in months, and your home currency. Verdly converts every holding to this currency on display.
  • Recording — your cadence (daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly). Cadence controls how your history is grouped and shown; you can still record values whenever you like.

Make your changes and select Save. Your retirement age, salary and emergency fund target also feed Verdly’s milestones and projections, so keeping them current makes those features more useful.

Display preferences

Open Settings → Display to personalise how Verdly looks:

  • Dark mode — toggle between light and dark themes.
  • Chart colour scheme — choose the palette used for category bars on your dashboard, with a live preview as you pick.

Select Save to keep your choices.

API keys

If you’re on Pro, you can create API keys under Settings → API keys to connect an AI assistant. See connecting Verdly to your AI assistant for the full walkthrough.

Deleting your data or account

The Danger Zone holds two irreversible actions. Both ask you to confirm before anything happens.

  • Delete all data removes every asset, snapshot, monthly note, milestone, custom category and your Ask Verdly chat history. Your profile settings are kept, so your account stays open and ready to start again.
  • Delete my account permanently removes your account, your profile, and everything listed above. You’ll be asked to type DELETE to confirm, and you’re signed out once it’s done.
