Using Verdly
Setting and tracking milestones
Set targets for your net worth, a category or a single holding, track your progress, and let Verdly project when you'll get there.
Last updated
Milestones are personal targets — a number you’re working towards, or down to. Verdly tracks your progress and, once you have enough history, projects when you’ll reach it.
Create a milestone
On the Milestones page:
- Label — name it, for example “First Million”.
- Target — choose what it tracks: your Net worth, Gross worth, Total debt, one of your holdings, or a category.
- Direction — count up towards a bigger number, or count down towards a smaller one (like clearing a debt). Verdly picks a sensible default you can override.
- Target amount — the figure you’re aiming for.
Select Add milestone. You can keep up to five.
Track your progress
Each milestone shows a progress bar and percentage, plus a status:
- Achieved — you’ve reached the target.
- On track — with an estimate of when you’ll get there, such as “around March 2026 — 3 months away”.
- Not on track — your current trend won’t reach it.
- Insufficient data — not enough history to project yet.
A chart plots your history as a solid line, the projection as a dashed line, and your target as a reference line. Your milestones also appear as markers on the dashboard’s net worth trend.
Edit or remove a milestone
Open the menu on any milestone to Edit its label, target or direction, or to Delete it. Deleting a milestone doesn’t touch your snapshots — it only removes the target and its projection, so you can change your goals as your plans change.
Currencies
A milestone on a single holding uses that holding’s currency; every other milestone uses your home currency.
Next steps
- Build the history that powers projections by recording snapshots.
- Watch your progress on your dashboard.
